Hello John and Siri,
What a beautiful baby Nora is. Cath shared some pictures with lucky members of the church. How old are the twins now? As I write this email I am thinking they must have been born in 2002 or 2003. So they must be 7 or 6. Unreal! I am sure they are very excited about a new baby sister and will help out alot! Congratulations!
We haven't said "hi" for awhile so here is a quick update from the Armstrong family.
The Armstrong's are blessed and faring well. The light of our lives is Kyle and he makes us very proud. He pulls all A's at school and is very active in the school music program. He plays the Baritone and really enjoys it. He also takes piano lessons from Birdie.
I am working for Alta Resources full time now. I like my job but am not thrilled about being a full time employee. We are getting health insurance this way and so in the long run it is well worth it. Glenn is an at home Dad and I get jealous from time to time. He works hard in the summer farming but could do lots more vacuuming in the winter. He is my work in progress.
From what I have heard both of you seem to be very happy in Minnesota. I still miss you very much.
Church is busy and we are very excited about voting to raise funds for a building expansion. In these times it seems like a crazy thing to do but we have the faith of a mustard seed and believe the time is right. I am on the Building Committee and we are putting together our plan of action! We are following a very good book that lays out each step we need to follow in order to achieve our goal. The final step in this fundraising venture is a dinner for the whole congregation. This dinner is where each member will make their pledge and turn it in. This dinner is going to a very important component in our plan and we want it to be very special...
Speaking of special...John we need a guest speaker! We need someone who will inspire the congregation! Someone who knows his way around a good sermon! Someone who loves our church and knows our people! We need you! I know you have a new baby and so this invitation may not be great timing. The dinner will be on May 17th, a Sunday and I know that could be a problem for you as well. All I ask is that you prayerfully consider coming. The congregation would be so surprised and happy to see you and you would be perfect for this momentus gathering of OSLC members.
As I have said, please give this invitation some thought. Siri, I understand if this does not work out, believe me. Being a new MOM with two other little ones is not easy in the least. John I will wait to hear back from you. If your answer is yes, YAHOO! It would be so wonderful if the whole family could come but as I have said a new baby needs some respect.
John and Siri I miss you. Please take great care of yourselves and your precious family!
In God's Love,
Kristi
